GovHR USA is pleased to announce the recruitment of candidates and selection process for the next Senior Risk Control Representative for the Intergovernmental Risk Management Agency (IRMA).
About the Organization
IRMA is a risk sharing pool of 71 local municipalities and special service districts in northeastern Illinois, which have joined together to manage and fund their comprehensive risk management program including property/casualty/workers’ compensation coverage and claims/litigation management. All members participate in a comprehensive risk management program including full loss prevention and safety management. IRMA has fulfilled its members’ goals of stabilizing future annual contribution rates, improving the quality of our risk management services, and offering one of the most comprehensive pool coverage programs that can be found anywhere for public entities. IRMA, founded in 1979, was the first municipal risk pool in Illinois.
About the Position – Duties and Minimum Qualifications
The Senior Risk Control Representative assists the Director of Risk Management and the Training & Risk Management Manager in the planning, development and implementation of a comprehensive loss prevention and risk management program for all pool members. The position is responsible for conducting on-site loss prevention services including risk management evaluations, weekly on-site loss control visits and training at members’ locations. This position is responsible for development and implementation of period risk analysis reports and providing advisory services to members and staff.
Qualified individuals will be expected to have a strong background in Risk Management, including experience with technical loss control and training experience. Successful candidate will possess strong writing and analytical skills and have knowledge of occupational safety management and insurance.
Compensation and Benefits
The starting salary range is $70,000-$85,000. Salary dependent on qualifications and experience. A comprehensive benefit package includes, health insurance including medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance. The Agency also offers paid vacation, holidays, sick days and a Flex schedule which includes every other Friday off.
